Get paid based on your performance. 

Here are the goals you can reach and how to attain them. Evaluation can be requested every 6 weddings. Based on the evaluation principles you will either stay at your current spot or level up.

1st Shooter ranks

First Shooter

*You can request a review every 6 weddings to see if you are able to level up.

**If your evaluation puts you under your current rank two consecutive periods (12 weddings), you will be downgraded a level.

2 STAR FIRST SHOOTER

$80 an hour

- Follow Requirements

- Pick up 5 weddings every 3 month when available

- Good communication with the Attila (team manager), Misha (uploads)

- Pro tip (watch workshops to rank up)

3 STAR FIRST SHOOTER

$90 an hour

- Follow Requirements

- Pick up 5 weddings every 3 month

- Good communication with the team - Attila (team manager), Misha (video manager), Shant (photo manager)

- Make it into website portfolio as a lead

Noticeable creativity (determined by Misha and Shant, editing managers)

- Pro tip (watch workshops to rank up)

4 STAR FIRST SHOOTER

$100 an hour

- Follow Requirements

- Pick up 5 weddings every 3 month

- Good communication with the team - Attila (team manager), Misha (video manager), Shant (photo manager)

- Make it into website portfolio three times, and keep producing top work 

- Pro tip (watch workshops to keep improving)

2nd Shoter ranks

Second Shooter

*You can request a review every 6 weddings to see if you are able to level up.

**If your evaluation puts you under your current rank two consecutive periods (12 weddings), you will be downgraded a level.

TRIAL(S)

Rate TBD

 -A set of trial shoots as 2nd shooter.
-Determine if it is a mutually good match.
-Review of footage.
-Review of teamwork and chemistry.
-Review of overall communication.

2 STAR SECOND SHOOTER

$45 an hour

- Follow Requirements

- Pick up 5 weddings every 3 month when available

- Good communication with the Attila (team manager), Misha (uploads)

- Solid overall coverage, noticeable creativity (evaluated by editing managers).

- Pro tip (watch this workshop to learn about wedding workflow)

Do not post any photos/videos/footage until the client has received their final product. For any wedding you shoot, at the same time that the link is sent to the client it will also be sent to you. Always check that the project does not have an NDA (contact edit@symboll.com). And then that is the ONLY time at which you can post anything.

Whenever files are used, It must only say, ” SHOT FOR @symboll”. No other reference to anyone else shooting it, editing it, working on it. No additional vendors or related individuals can be tagged or noted in it. A video or image itself cannot contain any references to being shot or worked on by anyone else. All content must ONLY have, “SHOT FOR @symboll”. This is applicable to all use across all platforms.

Failure to follow these instructions will result in no longer being able to use footage captured from Symboll weddings.

ADDITIONAL $$$

TRAVEL - $30 for each 100 miles of driving.

REVIEWS - $25, if a client refers to you by name on a 5 star review (Google).

​

COMMISSION - 5% of that total booking, when a client refers to you by name and books with us. 

​

SHOOTER REFERRAL - $150, if a shooter you refer shoots trial +6 weddings with us (not including the trial shoot). 

​

RED  - extra $10 an hour of shooting. 

 

FILM - extra $10 an hour of shooting. We cover film and development. FILM GUIDE

 

ENGAGEMENT - $300 flat for a two hour shoot (includes travel under 200 miles).  

​

ACCOMMODATION - once discussed and confirmed in advance.

(12hrs or less between day 1 finish to day 2 start, plus 2hr+ commute).
